#25 Convince someone to stop using derogatory language COMPLETE!
I was at a youth leadership seminar this weekend and heard more than a few "retard(ed)"s go by. At a leadership seminar! And by one person who works with disabled youth every weekend. Everyone who said it I asked not to and gave a reason. But the person who works with disabled youth I really tried to influence, because she works with them and if she uses that language, others will think it's okay for them to. I think I got the message through and she will be making a concerted effort not to use that word or its variations in that form again.
